So...

A little update!! (late as usual, I know)

So, lately I have just been in school and wandering around Tenjin as usual and it's save to say that Christmas is here!!
November 1st it all started! Straight after Halloween it's Christmastime in Japan!! Everything is very festive, and they really really like their Christmas lights!!! And in colors I'm not all that used to like blue and pink...those are not Christmas lights in my book!! But Christmas songs are blasted all over the place in a very ...new? way. I find this time of year a wee bit strange here, I found out that I miss the cold and wind and icy streets with people hurrying inside shops to get warm! Here we still have green leaves on the trees and around 14 degrees! That is one thing that does not add up!! But hey, a new experience!

Now for some updates!
On Sunday almost two weeks ago, I decided to get on my bike and get lost around the Kashiihama Kaikan area, which is the one I live in. The weather was bright and sunny as I set out for my adventures. I biked around until I found a very pretty park that had a pond in the middle. After I while I saw a greenhouse which people were going into, so I decided to follow! When I came in I was asked for a 100 yen, so I payed without really knowing what I was paying for. Inside was very hot and humid so I figured out that they must have something cool there (no pun intended). As I past the plastic doors a lot of very pretty plants greeted me, along with big, white beautiful butterflies!!! They flew all over me and because I was wearing a bright red sweater they really liked me, so they sat on my shoulders and back if I stayed still for a while. Quite amazing to find this while getting lost!! Thank god I had my trusty camera!
After getting rid of the butterflies of my sweater I ate ice cream sold at... ICELAND..har har har! On I went and decided to look closer at the beach, and check how far it reached, which ended up being almost hit by a car too often to count since the streets got really narrow the further I went on. I found a very peaceful place at the beach and started walking around. It was a bit too peaceful cause I didn't notice when the flood came... So some parts of the beach had gone on a holiday when I realized that my bike was a bit far away, so I needed to wade almost up to my knees to get back. FUN FUN FUN!

Well...so the week went it's way with the normal stuff, cooking in the non firealarmed kitchen and eating...
Oh and yes, I won't be spending Christmas in Japan after all! Kyle, Amer,  Hristina and I, bought us some tickets to the land of Thai! Yes ladies and gentlemen, meine damen und herren, Dömur mínar og H(n)errar!! The city of Bangkok awaits me! Well to be honest, not only the city of Bangkok, because as we ( or I..) speak we are also planning to go to Malaysia and Cambodia and even if there is time and visa, to Vietnam! Oh yes...and Hong Kong! Our flight is from Fukuoka to Hong Kong, wait there for a day, Bangkok, then the same on the way back, which gives us new years eve in Hong Kong!  Amazing in the house!

This should be enough for today, I'll give some updates tomorrow!
Tata!
